Great company with great customer service so i really recomend them if someone was looking for stage 2 on their mk6 mk7 Jetta/Golf with the ea211 1,4 TSI engine. Reactions: golfdave and jimlloyd40 jimlloyd40
Keep in mind that compared to your Civic, these cars, due to the turbocharging, produce much more usable torque at very low RPM. Torque peak is around 1600 rpm, and it holds it all the way to 4200 rpm for the 1.8 TSI. So it is a very flexible motor and handles the wide ratios of the 5-speed quite well.
So I have a difficult decision to make. I can go for a 50,000 mile 1.4 TSI or a 70,000 miles 1.5 TSI. Decision time. What would the forum vote for? And why?
The brake hose that attaches to the Golf’s caliper will often cause the brakes to stick. They may appear to be fine on the outside, but can break apart and collect debris on the inside. When this happens, it effectively traps pressure in the line. This keeps the brakes from releasing all of the way, and they stick as a result.

The older mk6 models with the 1.2 TSI which have supercharger definitely have engine problems, so avoid that one at any cost. 1.4 TSI is single intercooled turbo engine, smooth like butter and quick when you want it to be.
There wasn’t a whole bunch wrong with the Mk7 Golf. And actually, most of the time in the new one we longed for the clarity of the old car’s infotainment. Get yourself a 148bhp TSi with
I have a 2016 1.4 TSI Match ( 92 kw) 7 speed DSG which has just done 40K miles. The Gearbox Type code that is mentioned in the Service Book is RES . I am not sure which DSG name & clutch type this gearbox relates e.g. DQ200 or DQ250 or something else and whether this is wet or a dry clutch.
had to replace the tcu, which is the transmission comp, goes together with the mechantronic unit. also it could be caused by a ruptured pressure cylinder in the mechantronic unit. with VW if something goes off it is usually the most expensive part. btw after this fix i had another transmission issue a year later, had to replace the entire
